| It's been a long time since I did one of these, but it's nice to keep my chops up. I will over the next few days show my progress. As of now, here is the original and where I am at in the process. Still very much the early stages.

OH MY GOD, SHE'S GOT NO FRIGGIN' HEAD!!!!! That will change, give me time.

| "He's like fire and ice and rage. He's like the night and the storm and the heart of the sun. He's ancient and forever. He burns at the center of time and can see the turn of the universe. And he's wonderful." Namaste, The Hammonator Like anyone reads this anyway....... | | |
| This is not a review, because I loved the series. But I have one nagging complaint. This message goes out to Sound Editor Solange S. Schwalbe a.k.a Solange of Hollywood (Side note - my favorite a.k.a will always be Abe Froman "Sausage King of Chicago"). Yo Solange, I get it, there were flies buzzing through the air in Colonial America, but dude, bring down the friggin' gain on the flies in the mix, and don't add as many. The flies were so friggin' loud I was reaching for a flyswatter. It's Colonial America, not the friggin' Amazon. Namaste, The Hammonator | | |

What a thoroughly and depressing film....I LOVED IT!! Seriously though, this is one of those movies that reminds me of The Sixth Sense or Jacob's Ladder or if you really want to go old school, try La Rivière du hibou. Uma plays Diana McFee, a teacher who as a student was caught up in an Columbine style massacre at her school. The movie takes place in the present and the past. Young Diana is played by Evan Rachel Wood (Once and Again, Across the Universe and others). On a side note: Across the Universe sucked and I didn't feel like writing a summary. Diana is haunted in her adult life by that fateful day and memories of her relationship with her friend Maureen (Eva Amurri). Diana has a good marriage and a faithful husband and child. She sees too much of herself in her daughter and maybe wonders if she will go down the same path she did during adolescence. This is Perelman's second directing effort following House of Sand and Fog and he appears to like to go the drama route. Intense, unhappy, take a depressing shower fully clotheed drama. It only works if you got the actors to make it go. He has a strong cast and basically had two timelines to sew together. I won't give away the ending, but if the clues are already here. Good depressing popcorn movie. Rating: B Namaste, The Hammonator | | |
